Born in Vienna, Austria, Katja Schmolka has lived in New York City and for the past years in Malibu and Pacific Palisades, California. Katja performs in English, German, and Italian.

Over the past decade, Katja has committed to developing her acting through ongoing acting classes. Her latest credits, within the past years, consist of:

. The Fabric, Aunt Rosemarie. An ongoing series of mini short films set in different international locations called Lebensgeschichten - Life Stories, Directed by Mario Schmolka, Written & Styled by Katja Schmolka.

. The Mantis Club, Directed Yalian Li, A USC Thesis Short Film.

. The Forgotten Corner, Rachel. Directed by Mario Schmolka. (Aired on Indi.com) For Rabbit & Rogue Film Challenge, a Danny Elfman Project. (In collaboration with the L.A.Film Festival), Written & Styled by Katja Schmolka

. ZIP Magazine, intimate interviews on film conducted by Katja with re-known talents of the fashion, film & art scene.

During Katja's first career as a Fashion Editor, Stylist & Journalist for various fashion & women's magazines, she interviewed artists such as Tommy Hilfiger, Ben Stiller, Renzo Rosso, Edward Mapplethorpe, and Rainer Judd. It was during such filmed interviews, Katja formed a new love for film, storytelling, and acting, which ultimately led to her pursuing it as a career.
